         This building is a former Veteran's Building. It had housed a bank on the lower level and contains two large walk in vaults with original doors. The middle floor had been a game room and is now open with a small kitchen. The upper floor is a ballroom with a stage on one end and a fireplace - lounge on the other end, with high ceilings and high view windows on two sides. The exterior is brick, and a new roof was added four years ago. The bulding was built in 1920 and should qualify for historical listing. The building is very straight and sound and now houses a retail clothing store on the lower floor. The building is heated on the lower floor only with natural gas forced air heat.
         Building sits on the main business corner in the city of Hoquiam, Washington. It is adjacent to the 7th Street Theater, an historical builing in the process of being re-furbished and sponsors many plays and community events. One adjacent street is also State Highway 101. There is a large city parking lot across the street within 100 feet of the building. Hoquiam is a small town about twenty miles inland of the Pacific Coast Beach and the cities of Ocean Shores and Westport. The area is very active in ocean and beach related activiites and is growing at a moderate rate.
