The C.B.C.S. is located on Rt. 101A in Southern NH This roadway has been ingeniously crafted as a business route which serves as a link to funnel commuters who live in rustic rural NH but work in the " Hub " of New England, i.e. Boston.
The computer industry as well as many other Hi-Tech science based industries provide high paying jobs to many in southern NH and on their long trek home they have the opportunity to stop at the CBCS.
The portion of the artery where the store is located sees a traffic count of 12-14 thousand cars per day. The store has it's own Right Hand turning lane and a 20 car parking lot with an easy to cut in and out access.
In N.H. we can sell beer and wine unlike some dry states. This aspect provides a layer of cushion and a sense of security in the fact that convenience stores sell necessity items. This makes a big difference in the recession. So, this is the Country
Bear.
We sell all the legal sins of mankind, Alcohol, Cigarettes, porn, and dangerous toys. We have 135 foot of frontage and the customers just pull in. They are in and outs so fast sometimes they leave their car doors open. You see the same people over and
over and soon they are like friends visiting your home.
Beer, chips, candy, soda, ice cream, all the goodies that make everybody happy, and that's the way it is !
Some say " Hey, why don't you make sandwiches - why don't you put in flavored coffee and muffins, well, ok, we'll give the next person something to do. Right now it's a one person operation, but you can change it, in fact Pizza soft ice cream, slushs
are big profit margins. Lot's of room to expand the selection, we never tried these items, and the Sky is the limit.
We have operated the store for 11 years and as a husband / wife team, we have burnout and mismanaged the store. We open at 11:00 am and close at 9:00 PM. Marriage problems push us to get out of the business. Its is an opportunity for someone with a
vision and creativity.

The C.B.C.S. does not have gas. New convenience stores operated by the major oil companies all have gas. 101A where
the store is located lies over a major aqurer and the towns of Milford and ajoining Amherst have banned filling stations on
their water supply. For that reason the Country Bear is safe from a competing 24hr. gas station convenience store built near by.
